Nestled just below Yorkville in the elegant Windsor Arms tearoom, Persona Jewelry unveiled their latest collection of Spring-inspired jewelry, available to the public late April 2013. The women of Persona Jewelry select the most delicate and light-catching beadwork they can find, usually sourcing materials from Italy (crystal) and beyond, rounding out the airy beads with sturdy and luminous sterling silver. This season Persona draws inspiration from delicate flora and fauna with their Paradise collection. The beads in this line feature petite and brightly coloured flowers and butterflies made from a mix of cubic zirconia accents and enamel paint. All the small accents are also three dimensional, giving the beads a life of their own.
We just got back from a super-swanky media event at the gorgeous Windsor Arms Hotel in Yorkville. Invited by the lovely Jennifer and Astrid of PersonaWorld, we had the opportunity to learn more about Persona jewelry, styled by a group of Toronto-based designers that draw inspiration from fashion runways and use only the finest materials from around the globe.
It all started in the kitchen. One day, Heather Reier decided to do some research on beauty products. She browsed the Internet and read a couple of books. The next thing she knew, Reier was mixing ingredients in a large bowl with a hand mixer, trying to create a body lotion that was natural, with a soft texture and pleasant aroma.
My bestie Sarah is coming to visit the city in a couple weekends and has her heart set on high tea at the Windsor Arms Hotel. Nothing sounds more perfect than a spring high tea lady-date… BUT WHAT SHALL I WEAR?! Naturally, this got me thinking about the ultimate tea-party appropriate spring wear.
On one of the days during my second week at the Windsor Arms, I got the chance to experience working in the spa. As soon as I walked into the spa everything felt so calm and soothing, I knew right away that I’d enjoy my days working there. I was welcomed and introduced to Heather who manages the spa at the Windsor Arms. I followed her upstairs as she gave me a tour around the spa. I got to see the various aspects of the spa such as the fitness room, luxury spa room & yoga studio, indoor salt water pool etc. Everything at the spa was just breath-taking and admirable.
