I went for a high tea at the Windsor Arms Hotel to celebrate the launch of HAILO in Toronto and oh-my-gawd it was glorious! I was picked up by a bright yellow HAILO cab, then dropped off at the Windsor Arms, where I joined a few others to hear all about the awesomeness that is Hailo Taxi Service
Once an enclave for several, now, well known icons of Canadian music – Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young to name just a few – who would gather and play in the area’s many coffee houses, Yorkville has been transformed from hippie to hip.
Oh so Boutique and Charming! When my friend Christine invited me to see the hotel I had to say yes for I have always wanted check out what was behind those grand wood doors! Well I was quite blown away for the design style was very charming and traditional but with an eclectic twist added to the mix.
We’ve gone to the Windsor Arms (18 Saint Thomas Street – Toronto, Ontario) twice so far, once for brunch a month or so ago, and once for dinner. Brunch was much easier to photograph, unfortunately dinner had a bit too much mood lighting to be conducive to pretty pictures.
