Taylor Swift isn’t boy crazy, she’s chemistry crazy. Like a mad professor experimenting with human pheromones, Swift leans into Australian newcomer Brenton Thwaites and makes him positively blush. Move over Harry Styles and Conor Kennedy—is this the very first spark of a new couple alert? I came to Grey Goose Soho House tonight to toast the Weinstein Company’s much-buzzed August: Osage County, starring Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts. But by 11 p.m., I find myself hypnotized at the sight of these two fresh-faced young stars (she’s 23; he’s 24), hitting it off as if there’s no one else in the room.
Nestled quietly away from the main drag in Yorkville, boutique hotel The Windsor Arms evokes old world charm in a city where condos spring up faster than a Mayor Ford scandal. Stepping into the lobby, you get the sense that this would be somewhere that Jay Gatsby would frequent if he were a Torontonian, an idea that was once again confirmed upon stepping into The Living Room space. Especially considering there is a Tearoom next door (hello, Old World glamour).
The Living Room is the new resto-lounge at the Windsor Arms, the Yorkville boutique hotel known for prim afternoon teas and star-studded film-festival clientele, including regulars like Colin Farrell and Clint Eastwood
We LOVE going to new places and trying new things so we were both super excited to be invited to the launch of Windsor Arms Hotel's newly renovated restaurant - The Living Room. When we first heard about the chic new space, we were very intrigued because the name certainly doesn't sound like a restaurant.
