If only I could always have Monday’s off… and Tuesdays. 3 day work weeks? Sign me up! On this selective holiday Monday, I tried to schedule things I can’t do during the work week, like my G road test, which I passed! I’m so relieved, I never have to wait in line at the DMV ever again! I also managed to throw on one of my favourite party dresses and attend Afternoon Tea at the Windsor Arms Hotel in downtown Toronto!
It always takes my breathe away for a second when I walk into the amazing tea room at The Windsor Arms Hotel in Toronto. The first room is decorated in white with a hat rack in the corner and all the tables are covered in white linen and ready for tea service. The ornate cups and saucers are strategically placed on each table adding to the room’s elegance and charm. We are escorted to the purple room which like its neighbour is opulently decorated with a huge chandelier hanging in the centre of the room and all the tables set and waiting for the service to begin. This is High Tea at The Windsor Arms Hotel.
The Windsor Arms Hotel could easily be in the dictionary next to the word “luxury,” but at the same time, it manages to be cozy. My 700-square foot suite became an oasis for me during a Toronto snowstorm – the perfect warm place from which to watch the weather and stay dry.
This weekend was both productive and decadent!
It started with giving the old white wicker patio furniture new life.
In knocking some items off “the list” last weekend, I may have added another item….painting the wicker furniture.
It' been a while since I indulged in an afternoon tea, so when my friend suggested going to the Tea Room at the Windsor Arms, I was on board. I have heard great things about their tea services but also read some not-go-great reviews, so I was excited to try it first hand myself.
