Toronto is a huge urban city, true. Everyone knows "the six" is a sophisticated, multi-cultural and great nightlife destination for foodies and fun lovers. But, its also home to lots of parks and natural green spaces where you can see some serious fall colours transform from shades of green to bright orange, gold and vermillion. With less than an hour's drive from the Windsor Arms Hotel you have High Park, Ramsdan Park, Edward's Gardens, Wilcot Creek, Christie Pitts, and Evergreen Brick Works to name just a few.

The last weekend of Tiff#16

As we approach the final couple of days of #tiff16 its nice to look back and think about what our favourite moments of the Festival were. For me one of the highlights was seeing the Windsor Arms’s Courtyard Cafe transformed into a gorgeous hanging garden of orchids and tea lights for the InStyle/Hollywood Foreign Press Association party. Everything about the event was beautiful, elegant and magical. And, the Stars came out in full force to enjoy it. From Pharrell to Nicole Kidman to Amy Adams, Jeffrey Tambor, Liev Schrieber, Naomi Watts to Taraji P. Henson and many, many more. It was a glamorous night to remember.

#Tiff16 Day 8 - The Costume Designers dress up tonight for CAFCAD event

One of Hollywood's most famous costume designers was Edith Head. She dressed many of the great and most glamorous actresses of her day and won eight academy awards doing it. Edith Head was almost as famous as the stars who wore her beautiful designs. She died in 1981 but is still remembered for her contribution to the advancement of the craft and artistry of costume design. She is quoted for saying: "What a costume designer does is a cross between magic and camouflage. We create the illusion of changing the actors into what they are not."

The Journey is the Destination - #Tiff16 - Day 6

Politics, Film and Art Converge tonight at #Tiff16 "The Journey is the Destination" is a Gala film being screened tonight, 6:30pm, at Roy Thomson Hall. The frank biopic is based on the journals of Dan Eldon, a photojournalist, artist and activist who was killed documenting famine and war in Somalia. He was just 22.

Hollywood Suite & InStyle/Hollywood Foreign Press - A Great Tiff Weekend at the Windsor Arms Hotel

Today is #Tiff16 Day 5. Monday. But, what a fabulous weekend it was here at the Windsor Arms Hotel. The weekend started early for us on Friday morning when we hosted the Hollywood Suite annual breakfast. Saturday night the Windsor Arms Hotel was celebrity central with some of the biggest names in Hollywood here for the annual InStyle/Hollywood Foreign Press Association bash.
