With the celebration of Chinese New Year and the Fire Monkey year, we celebrate by sharing this beautiful film. The traditional Tea Ceremony and the traditional red colour symbolizes good fortune and joy. The colour yellow-gold is considered the most beautiful color. The Chinese saying, Yellow generates Yin and Yang, implies that yellow is the center of everything.

One of the cutest things we saw just as soon as we downloaded the pictures on this cute wedding – the super cute dog who was such an integral part of the wedding. The Toronto wedding was colourful and classic – but what makes it note-worthy is the way in which the couple created their own little space between these multi-cultural influences – the bride is Punjabi and the groom, a Malayali. All those little moments were expertly captured by Mango Studios.
Perhaps it’s my obsession with British dramas or my love of tea but the idea of high tea has great appeal to me. Stopping in the middle of the day to sit and sip and nibble and talk. It seems like something done only by ladies with too much free time. But everyone can enjoy an afternoon tea break and the Windsor Arms Hotel offers the perfect backdrop.
Though winter has been kind to us (so far) I'm always on the look out for fun things to do in the city that don't involve being outside. A great event that is happening in Toronto, January 29th - February 11th is Winterlicious - a culinary celebration offering an opportunity to discover delicious cuisine at more than 200 restaurants and experience unique culinary events - INDOORS!!! And what could be better than this? How about an invitation to preview the Winterlicious menu for one of my fav places for tea - Windsor Arms. It has been years since I've eaten at WA and was excited to get to see their Living Room restaurant and taste some mouth watering food.
Brunch in the Courtyard Café at the Windsor Arms Hotel was amazing! This, of course, is an understatement since you need to be there to experience it yourself. I was invited to sample the new brunch menu on a Sunday by Mary Tang and was blown away. I never had brunch at a hotel before.
